At Yogita London we want to give you an honest approach to your birth preparation and recognise that although many births progress with little or few complications, labour can at times be challenging and at times unpredictable.
If this happens we want to ensure you know the options and procedures available to you so that you can make the right informed choices for you and your baby’s wellbeing so that you are able to remain calm, adapt your plans and have a good birthing experience throughout.
The Yogita London approach to Birth Preparation
Yogita London are proud to work in partnership with Ruth Sabrosa, who was one of Yogita London’s first clients when she was expecting her second child Amália Rose; a beautiful breech baby daughter.
Ruth Sabrosa is a Hypnobirther and Birth Preparation Educator who has previously led classes exclusively for Yogita London Clients and in addition to Hypnobirthing also undertakes Pregnancy Relaxation sessions straight after our Tuesday evening Pregnancy Yoga.
Yogita London are proud to have formed this relationship with Ruth as her experience within the field is excellent; her manner open, approachable and down to earth – we are very happy that you will be in good hands.
Prepare yourself practically, mentally and emotionally for birth with Ruth Sabrosa, Natal Hypnotherapy practitioner, on a Birth Preparation Course.
Ruth aims for a relaxed learning environment balanced with a carefully structured course which will leave you with many practical tools and techniques to help you work with your body in the most effective way.
An overview of what is covered
The 1 day course is completely tailored to your needs and groups are small so this is possible. You will look in detail at the birth process, physiology, stages of labour, how fear can interrupt the process and ways to overcome any fears.
You will also learn and understand:
– Practical techniques to help you stay calm and relaxed during the birth including massage, using a birth ball and birthing positions.
– How your body works during labour and what you can do to help it.
– Practical tools and techniques for your partner to keep you calm, relaxed and at ease during the birth.
– How your emotions change during the labour and signs to look out for.
– Effective ways to work with the medical team supporting you.
